JOB DESCRIPTION

THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION AND CANNOT BE WORKED REMOTLEY.

We are looking for a creative, talented and motivated individual who wants to continue a website design career. You will work as a part of our Marketing team taking WordPress sites from start to finish- if you have a knack for modern design and experience creating or customizing pre-made WordPress themes and plugins, we would love to see your portfolio!

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain best-in-class websites from start to finish.
• Optimize pages for conversions.
• Work to ensure designs are technologically sound.
• Optimize websites to ensure they render consistently in cross-browser environments, with best SEO principles.
• Optimize websites for desktop, mobile, and tablets.
• Customize base WordPress themes.
• Fully optimize on-page SEO.
• Perform keyword research.
• Work with content writer and manage content production.
• Optimize website for speed and load times.
• Develop and execute a robust backlink strategy.
• Work with social media team to deliver content and post themes. Creating custom websites from pre-made themes using WordPress and create hard-coded non-WordPress websites for clients as needed.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years’ recent WordPress design experience
• Manipulating and customizing pre-made Wordpress themes and plugins
• Experience in troubleshooting WordPress themes and plugins
• Thorough knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO
• Experience in developing and executing on link profile management strategies
• Experience in optimizing for local search results
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in Google Analytics and Search Console (Webmaster Tools)
• Knowledge of and experience executing technical on-site optimization
• Experience in web server management
• A strong eye for design and layout and web/mobile UI/UX
• Ability to prioritize and manage various projects based on changing business requirements
• Strong attention to details
• Experience with website analytic tools (ex. Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager)
• Experience with instrumenting A/B tests and content targeting/personalization
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
