SC&A, Inc., an employee-owned environmental and energy consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will have an Accounting degree, 5 or more years of experience with government contracts, experience using ERP software, and strong communication and Excel skills. Familiarity with JAMIS Prime ERP is a plus. Responsibilities include:

• processing monthly customer invoices and revenue entries
• overseeing junior accountant
• approving and paying vendor and consultant invoices
• preparing GL entries for monthly close and employee stock purchases
• assisting senior VP of contracts with maintaining contract and milestone records
• reviewing monthly reconciliation of accounts
• working with CFO and outside accountant on annual financial review and property tax returns
• preparing and filing annual 1099s
• preparing other accounting reports needed by managers or staff
• serving as acting CFO in CFO’s absence
• other duties as needed or assigned

Salary is commensurate with experience and is expected to range from $65,000 to $85,000. We offer a complete benefits package.
