THE FOCUS IS YOU

We are looking to add a Senior HR Generalist / Human Resources Manager to our Atlanta office. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as: employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. This is an on-site, in the office Monday thru Friday position with some limited ability to work remotely. This position will be an active part of the office culture and we are looking for someone that embraces working in an office environment.


HOW YOU CAN IMPACT OUR FIRM

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
  • Handle employee complaints/investigations
  • Interact with Managing Directors to ensure compliance with HR processes


IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITION

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR role
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Negotiation - Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
  • Computer Skills – Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email programs. Familiarity with and ability to operate HRIS system
  • Training – Ability to train other HR team members on processes of team and train new hires on firm processes


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management


License/Certification

  • PHR or SPHR a plus
