General Purpose of the Position:

The Operations Managers is responsible for the management and maintaining the organization standards within the store. They provide support for the company's overall business plan, shortage reduction programs, risk management and controllable losses. They will lead and provide support the to the operations team ensuring that all duties, task and projects relating to the operations of the business are executed efficiently.



Profile

Responsibilities:

  • Develop competency in auditing, shortage reduction programs and system controls
  • Collaborates with the Retail Operations and the IT Functions for the implementation of all the necessary stock team training
  • Manages store expense relating to the P&L i.e. Shipping/receiving cost, supplies, alternations etc…
  • Drive results by setting goals and objectives of team, which are challenging, realistic and support company goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze situations, provide direction, and communicate expectations and coach to achieve desired results.
  • Reporting of Operations KPI’s to Store Manager
  • In tandem with Store Director develop teams on personal career growth development
  • Responsible for the optimization of Stores Stock Areas, defining the layout standards (receiving area, wrapping area, Stock area by category), the product positioning, the control and the periodical inventory, in order to provide the sales and stock team with the most efficient stock possible
  • Ensure compliance with company standards in store operations
  • Oversee store operations and ensure compliance with standards
  • Establish strong partnership with Director Retail Operations, Store Director, and Store team
  • Reinforce of company policies
  • Evaluate store operational procedures. Propose editions and improvements to these procedures on and as-needed basis
  • Ensures compliance with Customer Relations Management
  • Provide/Assist store team in operations/systems training
  • Manage and lead Internal Audit and Control
  • Liaise with various internal and external departments
  • Contribute to the development of Operations/Loss Prevention programs
  • Support all Risk Management programs and functions. Focus on reducing incidents and associated financial losses.
  • Able to influence change necessary to deliver results that support organizational goals.
  • Responsible for the training of store personnel as it relates to operations, company policy and procedures

Team

  • Ensures that the operations team is about to carry out directives relating to front and back of house dictated by the Operations Manager
  • Supports the development and growth of all team members
  • Onboard and train all new team members on BOH and operations procedures and policies
  • Ensure exceptional support to drive sales and customer service. Identify and execute efficiencies and best practices to help lead Customer Service team, BOH team and Alterations team to provide a seamless guest experience
  • Provides daily positive and constructive feedback and coaching to team members
  • Monitors and manages performance of operations team, working in tandem with Store Manager regarding: IDPs and Performance Management and employee relations
  • In tandem with Store Director, execute and lead annual performance reviews
  • Supports management in the interview process for all operational roles


Additional information

Skills and Abilities required:

  • 5-10 years sales, retail, hospitality or cross-industry experience
  • Strong people management skills
  • Exceptional organization skills have a strong understanding of operations and back of house
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven track record of profit improvement through shortage reduction and improvement in store safety practices.
  • Ability to analyze people and situations effectively and provide direction to impact performance.

Loro Piana uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, Loro Piana reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 year.
