Job Description

A growing technology and telecommunications solutions provider has an excellent temp to hire opportunity for a Project Coordinator. If you have strong PC skills and a background performing administrative or clerical work, and overseeing projects from start to finish, then this position may be a good fit for you. This is an excellent opportunity to gain project management skills.


The position is mostly remote; it requires that you can come into the office occasionally located in Plainview, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to inbound calls while tracking projects from inception to completion.
  • Accomplishes work requirements by tracking telecom installations that includes assigning, scheduling, and interacting with Field Service Technicians, internal staff and commercial clients.
  • Meets work standards by following productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; and identifying work process improvements.
  • Meets cost standards by monitoring expenses for projects and implementing cost-saving actions.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Requires strong communication skills with field technicians, clients and team members.
  • Able to organize projects, document information, manage files of projects.
  • Must have strong multitasking skills and prioritizing tasks so deadlines are met.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills – able to negotiate to meet deadlines.
  • Desired 1 + years of experience as project coordinator or experience overseeing projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn new technology quickly.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing requirements.

Education:
Bachelor’s, Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.


Work Hours: The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 – 5 pm, and it requires flexibility since you will be working with clients throughout the U.S. and Canada.


This is a work from home position and would require some training in the Plainview, NY office. The company is growing, and there is opportunity for career growth based on performance.
