Job Description


We are seeking an HR Business Partner for a direct hire/permanent role in the Baltimore area. This role can work remotely from the Baltimore area. Due to the regional travel requirements in the VA/MD market of 20-25%, this role will require the selected candidate to reside in the Washington D.C. area or Maryland.


This role will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations for the region including oversight of talent acquisition activities, employee relations, performance management, and talent management. It is a field-based role with occasional travel to stores, region or division meetings, and some company-sponsored events.


  • Implements policy and strategy for short-term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures
  • Decision-making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization.
  • Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures
  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support 1200-1400 employees in 125 stores, 12 area managers and 1 region manager

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience in a retail environment Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience in a retail environment
  • Prior HR Retail Experience
  • The ideal candidate will possess multi-unit, multi-state HR experience.
  • Must be able to travel 20%-25% in the field (MD/VA areas)
  • Must be able to communicate with executive leadership

Additional Information


This direct hire/permanent role will be based in Baltimore, MD with 20%-25% regional travel. This role will pay between $110,000 – $120,000 per year with a 15% bonus ($126,500- $138,000 per year total compensation) along with a comprehensive suite of benefits.
