JOB TITLE - Material Handler - Level 1

LOCATION - El Paso TX

Duration - Long Term Contract

Note –

2nd Shift: 4 pm – 1 am (Pay rate: $13.00/hr)

1st shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Pay Rate - $12.5/hr)

Description:

Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. May require a high school diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Forklift experience is a plus.
Computer knowledge (excel, word, outlook, etc) is a plus.

• You will be asked to come in early or stay later for overtime if the work load requires it, with at least 24 hrs notice.
• You will be asked to work weekends, also if the work load requires it, with at least 24 hrs notice. You will be required to stand for most of your shift. You will be required to lift boxes 35 lbs or less.
• Anything heavier than that, we asked that you use a team lift. You will be doing a lot of bending, stacking, transferring of product.
• You will be required to know basic math. You will be asked to learn/move to a different area in the warehouse as needed on a daily basis.
• You will be required to learn how to use the equipment we use in our warehouse, which we will train and certify you on.
• You will be held to the Client standard when it comes to your attendance and behavior in our warehouse. You will always be required address any safety issues you witness, to your lead/supervisor.
