Job Description

Under general supervision, performs tasks in all areas of software development including requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, support, documentation, and user training. Works as part of a diverse and dynamic team developing enhancements and bug fixes for an existing MS Dynamics ERP system. Involved in resolving issues and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements from business customers. Works closely with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce code in accordance with internal development and current information security standards
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure internal development standards are being followed
  • Ensure developed solutions are well-engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule
  • Assist team leadership in designing software solutions that meet project requirements
  • Participate in software development projects from initiation through delivery
  • Partner with IT resources and internal business partners to determine project requirements
  • Perform unit testing to ensure functionality of developed applications before being released
  • Assist in providing Tier 2 support for all developed applications including debugging issues
  • Perform deployments of software modification to MS Dynamics ERP system
  • Document software solutions and development processes
  • Train application users on the proper use of developed software applications
  • Assist internal business partners with user acceptance testing of developed products

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in Dynamics AX development, installation, and configuration preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of related IT experience; 4+ years of related experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of software design and development best practices
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Dynamics AX development preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience developing integrations with OData, DMF, or Package API
  • Experience maintaining and administering a Dynamics ERP system preferred
  • Experience with warehouse management systems preferred
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Azure environments preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles preferred
  • Some experience with SQL, XML, JSON, Jira, Confluence preferred
  • Excellent relationship building and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to think critically and rapidly learn new technologies as needed
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong desire to build a cohesive and collaborative team
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to follow development processes and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools: Visual Studio, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
