The Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group, part of the Medical Devices sector within Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for a Clinical Sales Specialist aligned to Acclarent, located in New York City, NY and surrounding suburbs. The CSS Group consists of four diverse businesses including Acclarent, Biosense Webster (BWI), Cerenovus, and Mentor. The CSS Group serves a diverse base of customers in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Electrophysiology (EP), Neurovascular and Neurosurgery, Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics.
Chronic sinusitis affects 3 million Americans each year and five per cent of the U.S. adult population suffers from a phenomenon referred to as Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (blocked ears / ear pain). Acclarent is dedicated to supporting otolaryngologists with minimally-invasive ENT technologies that relieve this suffering as effectively and painlessly as possible. For more than a decade Acclarent has pioneered innovative technologies, including the balloon dilation system that’s been used to treat more than one million patients.
The Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) will be expected to expand the sales of Acclarent products, convert accounts in a manner that complies with company policy and sales direction and provide support to the aligned territory for all sales-related activities. Upon successful completion of duties, the CSS will assume territory responsibilities within a mutually agreed upon geography as an ENT Consultant. The anticipated base pay for this position is $70,000.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under generation direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Clinical Sales Specialist will be trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of our products to ENT Physicians in an operating room, private practice, and/or ASC setting.
This position requires the ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology.
This position will be expected to execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, ethical, and which leads the customer to action.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, OR 4 years of relevant professional work experience OR 4 years military experience OR Associates Degree with 2 years of relevant sales or professional experience is required
The ability to work in an operating room is required
This position requires 40% travel and relocation with uncertainty of final territory responsibility
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States
Ability to lift 60 lbs and adhere to customer protective, safety, and security protocols is required
One or more years of relevant sales or professional experience preferred
Documentation of successful sales performance is preferred
Experience covering large geographies preferred
Experience selling technical and disposable products preferred
