Position summary: Responsible for working closely with traffic engineering employees to carry out an array of assigned tasks. Sponsorship is not available for this position.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Follow direction from traffic engineering staff to provide assistance on project work
  • Perform field reviews of traffic operations
  • Assist with problem-solving requiring basic theories and engineering fundamentals
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation
  • Actively participate in meetings with traffic engineering staff and clients regarding projects
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Required Skills

Required Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Written and oral communication skills

Qualifications Preferred

  • Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Computer Aided Drafting Design Technology
  • Related experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.


Work is performed in the field 5% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
