  • PODER is recruiting individuals (ages 18 and older) interested in becoming insurance telemarketers. PODER will interview candidates until May 15, 2023. In this role, you will set appointments for closers via phone call. You will use skills like empathy, adaptability, and resiliency to engage prospects and get them interested in having a conversation with insurance agents. In generating more appointments and interest in the agency, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your own book of business, which means you’ll have total control over how many clients you have.   • We encourage current telemarketers and current insurance agents to apply as well! You’ll receive guaranteed interviews with our insurance partners.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work remotely from PODER’s office on 6155 S. Pulaski Rd. once hired by an agency.
  • Employment start date is 6/6/2023 with required 1:1 coaching sessions (5/16-5/31) focused on building customer service skills, better understanding of sales, roles of insurance professionals, and interview preparation. The training will help candidates to obtain their customer service certification prior to starting Day 1 as a telemarketer. *Bonus stipend on completion of 2-week training*
  • All telemarketers will start earning $15 per hour with performance bonuses as they gain the necessary skills to transition into a full-time LSP.
  • PODER will work with each candidate to secure a promotion as a Licensed Sales Professional (LSP) in Property and Casualty within 60 days of starting.
  • To ensure success PODER agrees to cover all Property & Casualty licensing fees (a $2,000 value) to obtain their State of Illinois Insurance License.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18+ years old
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish candidates required
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 6+ months experience with Customer Service/Sales
  • No prior felony convictions
  • Commitment to 2 weeks (5/16-5/31/23) of training and job preparation services
  • Must be able to commute to Belmont/Cragin area if needed
