What to Expect
As a Sr. Workplace Development Specialist, you will be playing a critical role in developing the future of Gigafactory Nevada through driving project management and design improvements. You will manage high performing teams on company critical projects working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with end users, construction engineering, and people organizations while ensuring your teams deliver project's under schedule and under budget.
This role will lead a team of project managers and design specialists at Giga Nevada, in addition their responsibilities as an individual contributor. Individual contributions will include programming services and processes to improving the existing workplace, developing the expansion programs, and unifying Workplace design across existing and new scopes.
What You’ll Do
  • Align with Construction and Design teams to review project scope, program space, create ROM, submit for budget approval, and support with build outs for construction projects, both big and small.
  • Provide support and oversee new site operations programming, moves, equipment relocations and new builds.
  • Lead a team of project managers, including implementation of best practices, methodologies, and software solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally within Workplace to coordinate Culinary, Janitorial, Office, Content, and other projects.
  • Responsible for drafting, planning, tracking, and executing complete project logistics varying in scope and size.
  • Drive organization effectiveness through priority alignment, operational metrics, and financial management
  • Inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best day in and day out. Champion an industry leading culture
  • Responsible for reporting and tracking all project activities to management to ensure overall success.
  • Provide strategic input into the Workplace projects organization, setting your teams future up for growth and success.
  • Use creative problem-solving skills and bring a first-principles approach to Workplace project management.
  • Foster an innovative environment amongst your team to help Tesla succeed in accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable energy.

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, related fields, or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of people
  • Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural scopes.
  • Background in Project Management systems, methodologies, and best practices
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam and Construction Cost/Data Analysis
  • Work other times during the day, as needed on an on-call basis
  • Strong public relations and overall communication skills
  • Ability to make fast, sound decisions
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to work simultaneously on a wide range of projects with the ability to prioritize tasks
