Job Description:
The Regional Quotation Quality Engineer will be responsible for technical reviews of proposals, quarterly quotation quality audit pulls, tracking and communicating findings from audits and submitted feedback, communicating large wins and losses to the quotation organization to drive recognition and keys to success, and tracking elements of what led to the outcome, tracking concessions/credits related to quotation errors and developing actions for those items, identify areas to realize better margin on our proposals and help to drive profitability and accountability.
This individual needs to be a high performer, with years of experience with the US power systems portfolio and tools/applications. They need to have a desire to support continuous improvement and quality improvement. Strong data and analytical skills, hands-on problem solving, and ability to network and communicate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibility:
- Responsible for working with the market segment and regional quotation quality teams to conduct regular audits and communicate individual and team findings to the appropriate function, leaders, and individuals.
- Measured on clean orders (free of concessions/credits due to configuration and quotation team take-off errors) submitted from quote reviews and would have opportunity to communicate best practices and improvements to the various regional and market segment teams.
- Responsible for collecting quotation quality and key proposal feedback and providing the findings and information to the Quotation Quality Program Leader.
- Assist in quotation quality program sprints.
- Responsible for periodic touchpoints with quotation leadership or sales leadership to ensure that implemented solutions continue and are updated according to the control plan.

- Audits completed (Quotation Quality and Control Plan/Process)
- This includes maintaining the Local Area Market Requirements for their assigned region
- Quote Reviews completed (Local and Technical Review)
- Concessions/Credits for Tech Review Projects
- Calls attended and contributed to (Sales/Quotations/Feedback Calls)
- Best Practice/Continuous Improvement projects supported
Anticipated Metrics (Work-in-Progress)
- Complete quarterly quotation quality AQL pull (30 pulled /1000 offers or 5% similar to L&T quality pull) and capture findings in database
- Annually follow up on control plans assigned to their region, including local area market, digital take-off, etc.
- Complete assigned local and technical quote reviews within TBD cycle time
- Attend TBD regional sales calls, 1x per month regional quotation calls, and schedule feedback meetings with managers to discuss individual feedback as necessary.
Provide TBD quotation quality improvement projects per year and complete 1 sprint per month for assigned projects.
