What to Expect
Seasoned project manager to lead Gigafactory Austin and other Texas related network infrastructure build out. You will work with Tesla Construction, Global Supply Management, Project Control, Manufacturing Engineers, and IT Networking team on planning, define requirements, identify risks, project schedules, manage vendors, and communicate across functional teams.
What You’ll Do
§ Oversee 1-2 other Project Managers in Gigafactory Austin
§ Provide Giga Austin and Texas Program status
§ Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with constant changes and work well under pressure
§ Work with GSM and Project Controls on Construction funding and Design Change Request
§ Put together Project plans, scheduling, timeline, budget, and manage change orders
§ Ensure that day to day project responsibilities are met by contractors and vendors on the project
§ Represent team in project meetings
§ Solid administration and communication skills
§ Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project
§ Identify bottlenecks and escalate accordingly and ensure strong communication between groups

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, IT PM, or related field
  • 8+ years relevant experience in IT or construction industry Project Management

§ Extensive experience in Green and Brown field data center construction

§ Extensive experience with vendor management
  • Experience with Electrical and Low Voltage infrastructure cabling (RCDD)
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies and PMP or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading teams and projects
  • Must be onsite and able to be hands on and support overall team deliverables.

§ Proficient in Oracle Aconex, Revit/BIM, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCad.
