WAI Global is seeking a highly skilled Engine Management Product Manager to take charge of an exciting portfolio of products. As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of these products in the global marketplace. Your role will involve making critical decisions on new product and SKU introductions, assessing competitive positions, and reviewing margins to ensure profitability. Position Summary

The Engine Management Product Manager at WAI Global is responsible for the management of a variety of programs of products. Product manager’s responsibilities include determining new product and SKU introductions, margin reviews, competitive positions, sourcing and/or manufacturing decisions, and maintain the overall success of those products in the global marketplace.


Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new SKUs to existing product lines
    • Review market data available
    • Competitive analysis to determine industry share and pricing strategy
    • Sales projections for forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with sales team
    • Determine target customers while working closely with the sales group
    • Manage the life cycle of all parts from launch to end of life
  • Expand new product lines
    • Use industry sources to get total market available
    • Determine market share by existing supplier
    • Determine price point in the marketplace
    • Work with souring group to obtain and select strategic sources
    • Make recommendation to Director of Product
  • Perform Competitive Research
    • Determine competitor strengths and weaknesses
    • Review and pitch research with sales group
    • Develop programs to attack weaknesses that competitor exhibits
    • Quantify WAI advantages over competitors
    • Develop campaigns where appropriate to take share from weak competitors
  • Manage interchanges
    • Research interchanges for all aftermarket product lines
    • Develop relationships sales team to help complete RFQ
    • Engaging with sales team for new SKUs, product enhancements, or product programs.
  • Grow Program Strategies
    • Maintain current business strategies for product lines
    • Develop business strategies for new/or existing product lines
    • Market analysis, SWOT analysis, and overall market analysis for strategic planning
    • Present to management and sales teams product strategy
  • Customer communication
    • Help maintain data needed for New Part Number Announcements as needed
    • Coordinate new number implementations with customers through sales administration
    • Complete data requests of product for all customers
  • Advertising
    • Coordinate industry advertising strategy with sales
    • Develop program flyers for sales support by product category
    • Work with marketing team to implement product information and marketing content
    • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Education Leve: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Marketing


Years of Experience: 5-10


Type of Experience: Automotive Aftermarket or Industry Sales
