Job Description
Position Description:
This position is responsible for preparing tanks to ship to customers (e.g., attach shipping covers, paint touch-up, minor installation work). Will also assist in transporting tanks from the manufacturing facility to the yard. This safety conscious individual is always aware of his/her surroundings and treats the Grove mobile crane as his own. Availability to work overtime hours as needed and the ability to work well with others are a must. Natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail are recommended.
Responsibilities:
Load and move industrial silo’s and parts using a Grove mobile crane and forklift.
Prepare tanks to ship to customer.
Watches for and reports defects, imperfections and damage as the last line of defense before reaching the customer, may need to perform minor repairs and installations.
Provide good customer service.
The back-up loader may need to speak to customers to relay shipment information.
Will assist with maintaining and performing preventative maintenance of mobile cranes/forklifts and performs daily housekeeping.
Follow strict safety regulations such as using OSHA approved mobile crane practices, forklift certification and personal protective equipment.
Monitor equipment for signs of wear or malfunction and report immediately.
Perform all other duties assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Basic understanding of how to read and interpret load charts is desired.
Strong organizational skills.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Solid verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Maintain accurate work and good levels of concentration.
Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis.
Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
