The Head of Global Investments Solutions is responsible for the management, oversight, strategic development, product creation, regulatory reporting and supervision of the entire range of CGW’s Investment solutions. These include the following investment teams across North America, EMEA, LATAM and Asia: Citi Investment Management, Capital Markets, Alternative Investments, Direct Private Investments and Sustainable Investing.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish the strategy for Citi Global Wealth’s Investment solutions and products across all regions, client segments and wealth tiers.
- Manage the regulatory, supervisory, compliance, legal, risk, technology, operations, finance and HR activities associated with CGW’s global investment activities. Serve as the lead investment business executive with all government regulators. Chair applicable planning and governance committees.
- Oversee the efficiency operations for and delivery of all investment solutions.
- Partner closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to ensure CGWI’s views are reflected in client portfolios.
- Ensure the consistent quality of investments products and their associated performance.
- Manage the “Product Forum” that receives input from the Private Bank, Wealth at Work, Citigold® and Citigold Private Client segments to drive new product development and associated new Investment solutions globally.
- Collect, assess and analyze “Voice of Client” and “Voice of Employee” feedback on existing products and experience, Implement enhancements to the platform to enhance Client Experience.
- Maintain independent, senior business relationships with all third-party providers of investment solutions.
- Partner with Advisory and Distribution teams globally and provide support through trained experts to drive the sales of investment solutions and products
- Manage the P&L for Citi Global Wealth’s investment solutions and products.
- Develop the technology requirements for Citi Global Wealth’s Investment solutions and products. Partner closely with CGW Platform, Development and Innovation to further assess requirements and execute on funded priorities. Ensure that business partners in banking, lending, regional management and segments integrate their technology systems and requirements.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Ensure that Citi Global Wealth’s investment solutions and products operates in accordance with local regulations globally, applicable U.S. regulations, and Citi policies.
Position Requirements
- Deep knowledge of investment products and sales/relationship management practices, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to develop and improve product and service experiences for mass affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
- Direct, relevant and current experience across asset management, private equity investing, and capital markets.
- Experience developing, launching, and managing investment products across traditional, alternative and capital markets.
- In-depth knowledge of the investment and asset management industries and direct competitors' products/services.
- Demonstrated experience in articulating customer needs in the design of investment products and solutions.
- Experience in managing senior relationships with asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds.
- Knowledge of and commitment to global fiduciary standards, principles and applicable laws and regulations.
Additional Qualifications
- 15+ years of financial services experience, preferably in investment product management, product development and/or product strategy.
- Substantial prior experience managing investment strategy and execution.
- Substantial prior experience in multi-asset class portfolio oversight.
- Experience in capital markets, portfolio management, alternative manager strategies and due diligence.
- Proven track record as a senior business leader in all aspects of business management. (strategy, sales, people leadership, operations, financial performance and risk and controls).
- Strategic, analytical, and systematic thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to drive change and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to build internal relationships with broader stakeholders across a complex franchise in order to drive to common goals and outcomes.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills to navigate a matrixed environment with a range of priorities and perspectives.
- Excellent executive communications skills and experience as an external spokesperson for the firm
- High business ethics and standards
