The Accountant/Tax Preparer position is responsible for addressing tight deadlines and performing a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end preparation and Tax Return Preparation.


Things you will do:

  • Prepares, examines and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Prepares various account reconciliations and resolves reconciling items timely.
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Assist with analyzing monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
  • Maintains fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules and insures proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Assists with various quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Perform Month End Close Procedure
  • Prepare and File Annual Tax Returns
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and accounting for multiple related entities required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with of Excel (Pivot Tables & VLookup) and Word.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks online
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Ability to keep sensitive data confidential, display initiative and cope with time pressures.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent
  • Minimum of three (5) years of full charge accounting experience.
