Accounting Associate
to join our
Finance
team at Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing.
The Accounting Associate – Accounts Receivable reports to the Controller for the Creedmoor manufacturing location. This role has the following responsibilities:

Monitors customer accounts receivable balances on a regular basis to ensure accounts are current; contacts customers to collect on past due accounts

Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
-
Processes customer credit applications
-
Investigates and resolves issues as they relate to any billing discrepancies
-
Assists with Daily/Monthly Cash Reconciliation and Reporting
-
Proactively investigates credit holds and makes recommendations, helping drive business results
-
Maintains Accounts Receivable dashboards to monitor AR balances and credit performance
-
Assists with General Ledger Journal Entries
-
Assists as needed with entry and reconciliation of Accounts Payable
-
Assists as needed with weekly check runs, monitoring of emails for payables/receivables, etc.

Available to assist the department with ad hoc projects

Assists in monthly close process including account reconciliations within OneStream software
We are looking for a candidate with the following experience/qualifications:

Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, etc)

High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills

Willing and able to work in a dynamic team environment

Solid analytical thinking skills and creative, resourceful problem-solving competencies
