Omega Accounting Solutions is in hyper growth mode and seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team. The Assistant Controller will collaborate with the Corporate Controller and internal team to manage the progress of our business accounting maintenance, projections, and month-end close plans while monitoring for accuracy and efficiency. The Assistant Controller will also assist with any additional requests that may arise. Please note: This position is fully on-site.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions
  • Prepare the company’s balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review and analyze actual versus prior period and budgeted performance calculating financial and operating metrics along with providing recommendations to the management team
  • Timely prepares accurate sales tax reports, property tax, payroll, and other tax reports and assists the Company’s external tax preparation firm with year-end tax schedules
  • Help drive the creation of streamlined financial and operations reporting and processes using tools such as Power BI and Excel Query
  • Monitor, verify, nurture and improve an internal control environment through various systems, company policies and procedures
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports
  • Analyze problems, present facts, make recommendations, and implement solutions
  • Help build out internal accounting processes and procedures
  • Create and implement budgeting, cash flow models, and forecasting
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business relate major is required
  • Minimum 5 years of full cycle accounting experience required
  • Exemplary supervisory, communication, technology and analytic skills
  • Advanced skills and experience in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation, and report presentation
  • Strong GAAP knowledge required, CPA a plus
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks experience required – QuickBooks certification a plus
  • Proficient with the latest technology; can quickly learn and manage multiple software platforms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
