Terramar DMC Sales/Account Manager Southern CA Office

Position Summary:

Terramar is seeking an experienced Destination Management, meeting planner and/or hospitality sales professional to design programs and events in the Palm Springs area. The Sales manager is responsible for developing and managing strong relationships with clients, vendors, hotel partners and venues. This team member will work with clients through the sales process to include site inspections, event design, creating initial proposal, revisions and contracting. The Sales Manager is tasked with promoting and selling the destination and creating unique experiences as an advocate for their clients. This team member will support the operations team as needed for events and programs.

A qualified candidate will have a solid understanding of the Destination Management Industry and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in event management. Experience with event planning, production, design and logistics, hotels, transportation management, budgeting, audio/video, and have a general understanding of the meetings, tradeshow and convention industry is a must. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of the Palm Springs area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve annual sales goal and expand client base

· Nurture relationships with clients to understand their business needs and objectives

· Site Selection, Budget Tracking and Reporting, Billing, Speaker/Entertainment Procurement

· Develop internal and external leads

· Arrange client meetings, presentations and site inspections

· Participate in CVB sales missions and FAM events

· Stay current on venues, hotels, dining options, activities and tour options in the region

· Represent Terramar on a regional level for exposure in the hospitality industry

Requirements:

· 5+ years related experience in DMC sales, incentive program planning and/or hotel sales

· Key account management for corporate, incentive, and association clients

· Extraordinary ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

· Strong leadership and organizational skills

· Ability to create impressive visual proposals

· Strong Communication Skills

· Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint,

· Previous experience with Salesforce, File Maker Pro and Canva is a preferred

· Able to multitask while planning multiple programs

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
