Responsible for variety of tasks related to the greeting, interviewing and registration of patients. This includes but is not limited to, obtaining patient demographics, insurance information and verification, explanation of various hospital forms and policies, obtaining signatures, discussions on financial responsibilities, collection of monies and initiation of the proper episode of care. Processes required information on all patients according to departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures while adhering to the patient focused admissions process.

Required qualifications:

  • 4 years' Experience in a healthcare related field, specifically patient access, insurance eligibility verification/authorization, billing/electronic claims submission, or collection of accounts receivable.
  • Computer and/or data entry experience.
  • Demonstrated application of hospitality skills in any service field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous hospital admitting experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the employee with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work will be considered.

About the Team

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
