POSITION SUMMARY


The Construction Program Manager - Ziply will develop, establish, and maintain outside plant (OSP) engineering standards and provide OSP engineering work product output. The Program Manager for Fiber Construction Build Program for Ziply Fiber. You will work to evolve the OSP engineering process to include new tools and methods, including the use and integration of GIS, software, and other data-oriented tools, as well as the corresponding processes and standards required to support the evolution of engineering standards and customer requirements. Additionally, you will focus on the collaborative process and relationship building with customers and internal functional teams. You will build and maintain organizational alignment with the rest of the business to support the company’s key performance indicators.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review Construction Work Prints – evaluate scope/scale of work, permitting requirements, etc
  • Assign Work Orders to Construction Vendor(s)
  • Establish Vendor construction work schedule
  • Lead weekly scheduling meetings, publish weekly scheduling reports for each vendor
  • Coordinate resolution of job progress roadblocks and issues.
  • Communicate /coordinate with Construction Vendors, Inspectors, Client SPOCs, etc.
  • When the work order is completed – update systems and notify various departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Program/Project Management Experience ( 2-5 years)
  • Knowledge Telecom FTTH Engineering/Construction Practices
  • Experience with MS Office ( Excel, WORD, PowerPoint) ; Smartsheet

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This role is remote and requires you to work from home in a distraction-free environment with adequate space to set up a home office
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.

  • Working knowledge of relevant project-related software
  • Must be able to perform and prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work alone and with a team
  • Experience in mentoring, career growth, and providing constructive feedback required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • 3+ years in Project Management or Management roles preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications preferred
