Summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Project Manager to join the Covenant Project Management Office. In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects to ensure results that are on time, within budget and within scope. This role will also be involved with, and lead, end-to-end process reviews and efforts to improve operational and process efficiencies across hospital departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of multiple projects, analyses, staff and deliverables concurrently while facilitating the completion of projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables and define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Analyze data to identify and quantify cost reductions and/or revenue enhancement opportunities for potential PMO projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, problems/risks and potential solutions of projects to all stakeholders
  • Capture, measure and optimize current and future state work flows and processes through the development of strategic improvements and action plans that drive continual progress
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within identified process flows
  • Support and promote the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong facilitation skills.
  • Strong negotiation/conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to organize approaches, functions, activities across numerous diverse entities
  • Understanding of Lean concepts and ability to implement continuous improvement philosophy
  • Ability to observe and capture current state workflows and identify areas for improvement
  • Strong customer service mentality
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong core, strategic project management skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree (MBA, MPH, MHA or similar degree) preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Certification and/or direct experience with Six Sigma or Lean Principles preferred
  • Minimum of four years in a health care setting with focus on formal project management preferred
