Role Summary
The Principal Product Manager, Personalization will create value from our unique, rich, and rapidly growing data, side by side with engineering, data science, marketing, product, UX and design leads for our product areas. We expect you to drive actionable insights into customer behavior and operational efficiency, support decision making, and strategy create strong feedback loops through data visualization and analysis and enable others to self-serve data needs.
Your mandate in particular will be to develop and implement a product vision and roadmap to deliver a best in class logged in experience to our repeat users across channels. Deeply understand our users, their problems, where they find value, and consistently strive to improve the overall customer experience from start to finish. Thrive within ambiguity and find new, creative ways to solve problems every day, with data as your guide and drive the product roadmap of personalization capabilities across all aspects of the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and derive insights from onsite behavior, and order data to identify opportunities for onsite personalization and segmentation.
- Drive an optimization and personalization roadmap that unlocks revenue opportunities across customer cohorts (first time purchaser/repeat purchase, anonymous/identified, etc.).
- Understand business strategy, define the critical moments for personalization and translate them into concrete results for cross-functional personalization teams.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of other sites, apps, and products to continually identify ways to improve our user experience.
- Define and track metrics to assess success and failure of products, while ensuring the team and stakeholders are aligned on goals.
- Monitor and measure launched products to maintain a tight learning loop that leverages qualitative insights from user research as well as quantitative results from testing in order to continually inform the product development process.
- Build the personalization product program workflow and governance structure, training and activation roadmap and communicate with partners to lead to successful onboarding for brands and markets.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for personalization, working with product teams, vendors and partners in CDP, preference, and account management, MarTech, experimentation, analytics and other key areas.
- Manage the Onsite personalization campaign management system that works with our general onsite optimization toolkit. Maintain ongoing updates and performance optimizations for our onsite optimization toolkit.

What We Are Looking For
- BA/BS degree in digital marketing, visual communication, marketing, communications, or related field.
- 6+ years of product management or related experience creating software products of product management or related experience creating software products.
- 3+ years of product management or related experience working on personalization, machine learning, recommendations, or similar.
- A proven track record of planning and shipping successful products - ideally with some experience building consumer products.
- A consumer-first orientation: you think about products from the end users’ perspective, and have experience with relevant tools, including running usability studies and qualitative user research.
- Technical know-how: While you need not be an engineer, you understand the technical implications of the product decisions you make.
- Strong analytical skills: You’re facile with data analysis and have familiarity with Excel, databases, and SQL and running A/B tests at scale.
- Excellent communication skills: you communicate clearly and concisely, including with leadership, and can tailor your message to your audience.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $132,500 to $221,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
