Our law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced paralegal with a passion for business planning, estate planning, real estate, as well as labor and employment to join our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Prepare and file court documents with various state and federal courts.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Assist attorneys in preparing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Draft and review contracts for business transactions and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support all elder law areas, including guardianships and conservatorships, Medicaid planning, and asset protection.
- Manage client files, deadlines, and communication with clients.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in litigation, estate planning, business transactions, or elder law.
- Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and local court rules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software programs.
- Experience with e-filing and docketing systems.
