Description:

The Instructional Designer position will support all lines of business within “The Bank” and will create and revise simplified user content, including technical manuals, descriptive training guides, instructor-led training modules and guides, procedures, and software documentation.

Requirements:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, write and review technical documentation to include facilitator and participant guides, help guides, user & reference manuals, and training guides.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts at all levels of the organization to conduct needs assessments and recommend solutions to meet the needs of the business, policy guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze, update and refine existing training content and resources.

  • Writing skills: excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well be able to describe complex ideas clearly and concisely and present information in a way that others can easily understand
  • Speaking skills: strong speaking skills as well as have sensitivity to an organization’s goals and values and the ability to relay them to employees
  • Interpersonal skills: solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with internal departments and external vendors
  • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Facilitate learning to develop participants' skill sets. This includes classroom instruction, meetings, and on-line learning
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
  • Ability to prioritize and execute projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Design and develop instructor-led classroom training content

Education and Experience Qualifications
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field or equivalent combination of training and/or work experience
  • 2-4 years’ industry experience as a technical writer
  • Banking or financial services experience preferred
