The major objective of Histotechnicians is to prepare high quality stained sections of Patient tissues for microscopic examination by Pathologist. Histotechnicians perform multiple automated and manual procedures on tissue portions with resultant high quality slides which facilitate accurate Pathology reports.
Work Experience:
One year recent Clinical Laboratory experience, preferably in role related to histology.
License/Registration/Certification:
None.
Education and Training:
Employees Degree from an accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours of biology and chemistry. 60 semester hours of academic credit from an accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours of biology and chemistry may be substituted for degree.

Three to six months of relevant experience preferred. Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally. Health, dental and vision insurance.
Proficient in therapy treatment for acute care, rehab, outpatient populations and wound care, as directed by therapist. High school graduate or equivalent.
Communicates with parents through parent orientation, home visits, conferences and other means to discuss pupils progress and interpret the early childhood
Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or Equivalent compact. Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
