Farm Operations Manager (900+ Irrigated Corn and Alfalfa acres)
We are seeking a Farm Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the daily farming operations.
This farm is located near our 4,000 cow dairy facility and helps feed these animals in our care.
You will work closely with the owners and other high-level managers in a team-oriented culture.
We have a strong emphasis on equipment care and safety.
You will lead a small team to oversee farming activities such as: crop planning, tillage, planting, irrigation, and harvest.
An ideal candidate will have prior farm management experience including center pivot experience and a strong background in agronomy and equipment operation and repair. The primary Manager’s responsibility will be approximately 900 contiguous acres near LaSalle, CO. The Manager is expected to take ownership of all farm related activities and work to meet the agronomic and budget goals for the farm. Applicant must be able to lift 80 pounds, have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record, be a self-starter and able to work independently.
We operate New Holland and Claas equipment (among others) and use progressive farming practices and current technology such as Ag Sense to monitor pivots along with other equipment inventory and tracking software.
