Job Description – Parts Professional

The position you are applying for is one of the key rolls at NAPA and has a strong potential for growth. This is a front counter sales position that includes, but is not limited to:

  • Retail and Wholesale Customer Service

The primary function of this position is to ensure prompt and courteous service for all customers and potential customers of the store (including walk-in and telephone calls).

  • Automotive Parts lookup

The person must be able to look up the parts application of the product in the extensive parts catalog or by computerized database.

  • Daily operational duties.

Some secondary, but essential functions of the position include ability to effectively understand and communicate company policies; follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials; ability to operate and utilize telephone system

  • Cash management

The ability to operate a cash register; tabulate costs and quotes to the customer, and ability to handle daily paperwork accurately.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have direct contact with our customers and therefore neatness in personal appearance and the ability to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional service is a must.
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to move heavy equipment with moving aids as listed below
  • Must be willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Automotive parts knowledge a plus.
  • Must be functionally literate, capable of reading and writing legibly and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly. You will also need to be able to accurately reference part numbers and applications from extensive catalog.

Pay: $15.50 - $22.00 per hour
