The Leidos Civil IT DOT team is hiring for a Cloud Senior Principal Engineer to support modernization efforts on the Department of Transportation Enterprise Information Technology Shared Services (DOT EITSS). The Cloud Senior Principal Engineer will manage cloud environments, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12 + years of experience or a Masters with 10+ years of experience, additional years of experience might be considered in lieu of degree

  • 12+ years of experience in information technology with a minimum of 8+ years of focused, hands on experience deploying/configuring workloads within either AWS or Azure

  • Demonstrated comprehension of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 security principals and their application to cloud compute, network, and storage

  • Experience integrating Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls into AWS or Azure

  • Experience integrating and configuring Palo Alto Prisma Cloud for compliance reporting

  • Demonstrated comprehension of scripting deployment of governance policies and security controls to either AWS or Azure at an enterprise level

    • AWS Specific – Demonstrated experience with Control Tower, SCPs, deployment of stacks/stack sets, and cross account roles

    • Azure Specific – Demonstrated experience configuring service principals for least privilege

  • Professional Architect Certification within either AWS or Azure

  • Knowledge of Integrating tools and technologies to the cloud environment to support enabling TIC 3.0 Internet accessible workloads

  • Knowledge of Developing scripts to deploy policies and tags for cloud environment management (using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, Python and Ansible, including use of remote Application Program Interfaces (APIs)

  • Experience with configuring Web Application Firewalls, CSP Applicable Distribute Denial of Service (DDoS) Tools, and Gateway load balancer endpoints and private links within cloud environments for network security

  • Experience with troubleshooting network configuration and generating reports for Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls

  • Experience with configurating compliance tools to promote micro-segmentation

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

  • Knowledge supporting and implementing tools to support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) using tools such as Prisma Cloud or Microsoft Purview

  • Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS) services and domain resolution

CLEARANCE REQUIRED:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
