Civil Engineering Designer / Roadway and Land Development
Interwest Consulting Group, a SAFEbuilt company, is currently seeking top talent for a Civil Engineering Designer to join their operations in Southern California. This is engineering work in the design and/or review of a variety of engineering projects.
This is a HYBRID role with a mixture of REMOTE work and in office teamwork. IW has offices in Irvine and Ontario. Candidate can work from the office closest to their location.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience for roadway, drainage (Hydrology and Hydraulics), water and sewer design, park design, and land development projects.
- The position requires technical knowledge and ability in applying principles of engineering.
- Preparation or review of engineering design plans and specifications.
- Permitting applications and coordination, calculations, and/or other engineering analysis required in producing a set of construction drawings or an engineering report.
SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCY
- Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred.
- EIT preferred.
- Have solid computer skills and experience using PDF and MS Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exercise initiative and display independent judgment
- Be self-directed and self-motivated
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Possess multi-tasking ability on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow the tasks with limited supervision
COMPENSATION: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a strong benefit package.
Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
