The Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting the Device Connectivity/PCB sales and profit goals in an assigned region, driving specification approvals at key OEMs, and driving and supporting representatives and our channel partners to expand the Weidmuller position.
Drives sales and support activities at all key target customers, and key channel partners within assigned region
By industry and product segment, develops an understanding of the region’s market size and potential opportunity for growth
Works closely with Industry Managers to develop and execute industry strategies
Implements and supports marketing strategies and programs
Implements strategies to meet and exceed budget goal requirements established
Establishes and measures all territory expense budgets and sales goals
Manages the profitability and cost of sales within the region
Conducts regularly scheduled territory and regional reviews with all channel partners
Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
Ensures thorough familiarity with and actively adheres to all Environmental and Safety and Security Policies and performs their duties in accordance with those policies
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, CFR 1910 OSHA) as well as Company policies and procedures.
Responsible for notifying your direct supervisor, manager, and/or a member of the Executive Staff of any risks associated with the Quality Management System
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration or other undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Five to seven years of successful combined electronics component sales and sales management experience
Sales experience working with industrial distribution, OEMs, and systems integrators
Sales experience with PCB/Electromechanical components
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proven sales techniques and consulting skills
Extensive travel required
