WHAT YOU’LL DO

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:

  • Assist Accounting Managers in managing monthly close process and various reporting requirements.
  • Maintains accounting controls by managing input and verification of transaction information; ensures all deadlines are met by staff during close process while simultaneously performing own month end duties.
  • Balances and verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions, reviews all staff reconciliations.
  • Assists internal and external auditors by providing required statements and information for the audit.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by researching and determining root cause; working with the necessary internal team and/or vendor and to resolve and coordinate corrections.
  • Maintains guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate balance between main accounting system (PDI Enterprise) and various sub reporting systems.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employee tasks; following up on work results.
  • Provide supervision to Accounting Analysts who have responsibility for daily operational tasks, accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Assist in writing and conducting employee performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback with direct consultation with Managers.
  • Assists with all personnel management, goal setting, training and communication with the team on job expectations.
  • Provides hiring recommendations to management.
  • Building relationships with the team and fostering an environment that creates open communication and development.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Three years of accounting experience preferred; including minimum of two years of supervisory responsibility.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with accounting applications preferred; PDI Financial, ReconNet and/or AS400 experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment; manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills.
